Lucky Dog

I am out of my head. Separated from wife, new job, studio, apartment. Have not been able to write one word since it all began. And now, one night, I sneak back to Caffe Med.

I have been reading Kingdom of This World by Alejo Carpentier. It has reinspired me. Short. So short. Dense. Lists. And still eerie as all Hell. I thought if I could write Lucky Dog in 230pp then I could write Lucky Dog. If I can't, then perhaps I might die first.

• 2-3 p chaps
• 3rd person semi omniscience
• but from one POV, for the most part

Is that necessary for such a short book?

The boy sees the golem

How to start, what to lead with, how to follow, how and why and where?

What does he know? How would he recognize a golem? He wouldn't. Would we? Is he a golem, or does he--yes. He has golemnic attributes, but is no golem.

Time; frames

Grey, like orig Hulk. Yarmulka, cuban hat, vest.

Arms. Crushing hands. Tattoos: godheaddead, god is dead, el dia esta muerto, los dios estan muertos, la cabeza de dios, una cabeza de la muerte, fuerte para la muerte.
