Mumbai Writing Holiday

I was on a trip to Delhi, INDIA recently and made a side trip by train to Mumbai. I wanted to restart Lucky Dog and my writing efforts on the time off during the Diwali Festival.

I ended up with about 20 pages over the 3 days I spent on the train and in a hotel in Mumbai's Churchgate area. Given that I spent most of my time walking, buying two kashmiri rugs, eating street food, dreaming about my grandparents' time in India, and haunting Chor Bazaar, it was quite a productive trip.

Most writing happened two spots: the Mumbai Rajdhani Express, a 16+ hour train ride from Delhi Station to Mumbai. The other, the Ambassador Hotel, Mumbai, and a nearby cafe, Mocha.

I've gotten to this stage: I am now cherry picking the things I want to and can write. There are quite a few. I am having a difficult time making sure that I keep everything straight--details, chronologies, etc. But that may be what editing is all about.
